Position Summary

Minnkota Power is seeking qualified student applicants for a Civil Engineer Intern position located at our Grand Forks, North Dakota headquarters. This internship would begin in fall 2024, working with the selected applicant's course schedule to design a schedule that will work for their availability.

The pay range for this internship begins at $23.75 per hour. Appropriate pay will be determined based on a candidate's level of completed education and any relevant experience.

EssentialResponsibilities

The Civil Engineer Intern will assist the Power Delivery Engineering department with the following:

Assists in the structural, physical, and civil aspects of substation and transmission line projects
Supports CAD drafting, construction drawings and specifications
Provides construction staking and inspection
Gives engineering support for both substation and transmission activities
Other civil engineer support as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Required:

Successful completion of Sophomore or Junior year in a Civil Engineering program/degree path

Experience

Required:

Strong oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of civil engineering design software

Preferred:

Experience with AutoCAD and/or REVIT
