Mark Young Construction, LLC (MYC) has an excellent opportunity for construction management professionals to join us as Concrete/Demolition Estimator. Concrete/Demolition Estimator are key to the successful delivery of our projects, from remodels to new construction.
The Concrete/Demolition Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for all concrete and demolition projects as well as the demolition scope of larger projects. This role requires a thorough understanding of concrete and demolition processes, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Prepare detailed cost estimates for concrete and demolition projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to identify potential cost factors.
- Conduct site visits to assess project scope and conditions.
- Develop comprehensive project scopes and schedules.
- Solicit and review bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Analyze and evaluate bid proposals to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project
- requirements.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop accurate and comprehensive estimates.
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and related documentation.
- Maintain and update estimating databases and historical cost records.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and post-bid reviews as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Estimating Department.
Qualifications & Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating, with a focus on concrete and demolition projects.
- Have the ability to be in the field 25% of time
- Ability to utilize the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
- Knowledge of concrete and demolition methods, materials, and industry standards is essential.
