*This role will support our Lexington, KY office and can be a hybrid role based out of KY*Your impact:
- This position is responsible for leading and growing the project development team while working closely with the OM to implement business strategies driving local and regional growth.
- Engage and inspire our team of talented professionals with a focus on sustainable growth through recruitment, retention, and professional development
- Ensure efficient and productive utilization of staff in providing high-quality service for our clients.
- Provide mentorship and development opportunities to engineering support staff and aspiring professionals.
- Maintain client communication and assure satisfactory client experience, project production, and Quality Assurance / Quality Control procedures.
- Schedule periodic meetings with key client personnel in coordination with PMs and others as appropriate.
- Stay informed of strategic opportunities and work with the OM to develop strategies for client management, pre-positioning, go/no-go discussions, and pursuit strategies.
- Project Management of Transportation Engineering projects for KYTC, local governments, and other clients.
- Directs and coordinates plan development, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
- Responsible for the development and management of project schedules, budgets, goal setting, determining scope of work, estimating fees, and preparing proposals and contracts on projects.
- Responsible for project progression, accurate client billing, and project profitability.
Who you are:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in Civil Engineering with experience leading a team of professionals and delivering Transportation related projects.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineering License in Kentucky or Tennessee. Must be willing to obtain PE in KY.
- Experience analyzing project progress in conformance with project budgets, quality, scope, client reporting, and sub-consultant coordination.
- Ability to develop effective and trustworthy long-term relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders in the transportation industry. Ideally brings an established network locally, with relevant partners, i.e. KYTC.
- Experience in business development, client management, and marketing in Kentucky.
- Ability to work with our talented marketing team to lead project pursuits, including the development of project proposals (written, presentations, interviews etc.).
- Advanced level of technical writing and communication skills.
- Ability to leverage communications skills to drive the development and engagement of strong teams and build strong relationships, both internally and externally.

Work Environment
