Overall Responsibility:
The Senior Project Manager is the 1st line supervisor. This individual provides quality checks and coaches resources by helping to identify strengths and weaknesses, interests and values. Responsible for providing organizational information, realities and resources. The Senior Project Manager evaluates performance.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Leads by example as a steward of our projects, program, clients, contracts, and people.
- Devotes time to their team through mandated meetings and as needed for team development and delivery.
- Attends project meetings as needed to lend support and appropriate guidance.
- Reviews team's meeting preparations, prior to meetings, and evaluates meetings collaboratively once they conclude.
- Documents and coaches PM and PMAs using program scorecards and ensures the appropriate behavior and habits is developed to achieve successful programmatic outcomes in the areas of metrics, quality control, document control, responsiveness, relationship building, email and other communication, and collaboration with the Controls Group.
- Supervises team members and prioritizes the success and development of their team members.
- Conducts regular coaching sessions, Continuous Feedback, and/or performance evaluations.
Experience, Proficiencies, Skills and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree (BS) or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Master's degree in business management or business administration preferred.
- Must have 7-10 years of related experience managing clients and staff.
- Professional Engineering license or PMP preferred.
- Must be highly skilled in communications, problem solving, conflict resolution and multi-tasking.
- Proven experience as a Program Manager or experience in other managerial positions.
- Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods.
- Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics.
- Outstanding knowledge of data analysis, reporting and budgeting.
- Working knowledge of MS office and program management software (P6).
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
