With the partnership with Clarkson Construction Company and Global Earthwork + Underground, this Scheduler role will split time between both organizations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating construction schedules for large-scale civil engineering projects. This role is critical in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to company standards.
Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities:- Produce conceptual schedules for full project timelines
- Maintain a database of probable schedule durations by activities as well as overall durations.
- Development of the baseline overall schedule using well-defined and properly sequenced work activities.
- Oversee all scheduling activities and provide required status updates, forecasts, and reports as necessary.
- Develop project layouts in conjunction with the project team, alternate schedules, and progress measurement of the schedule.
- Reviewing, critiquing, and inputting vendor and subcontractor updates to the overall project schedule.
- Verifying updates are an accurate representation of the work accomplished.
- Understand the flow and logistics needed for the execution of the project.
- Supports ongoing projects by working with the project managers, identifying opportunities for improvement, delays, and areas where additional concentration is required.
- Develop and maintain estimate production rates database.
- Align estimate production rates with project schedule to ensure alignment.
- Input of resource loaded schedules to ensure physical resources are accounted for into the project schedules such as labor, capital equipment, facilities, and materials.
- Creation and updating of cost loaded schedules, combining scheduled activities and their costs to give a clear picture for contractors to visualize spending based on timelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience within the construction industry.
- Highly proficient in scheduling programs (e.g., Microsoft Project, LEAN, CPM, Primavera6)
- Highly proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and the latest industry standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel within local areas.
Physical Requirements and Working Environment:- Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, walk, stand; Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
