Reporting directly to the Public Works Operations Manager or designated supervisor, this position serves as the liaison between the Control Center, Customer Care, and Stormwater Operations. The role includes scheduling tasks, and work orders to align with customer timelines while ensuring ample lead time for Stormwater operations staff to meet all expectations. Duties may include permitting and inspections, conducting field investigations and research for various stakeholders. Proficiency in creating presentations, Tracking, and recording MS4 data, utilizing GIS, work order software, and additional assigned tasks essential to Stormwater Operations.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Coordination/scheduling of corrective and preventive maintenance, construction projects using in-house staff.
- Assure that Supervisors are aware of the work orders, schedules, and work priorities.
- Perform Quality Assurance within the work order system ensuring all notes, photos, asset tracking are updated timely.
- Serves as a liaison for Stormwater Operations and Maintenance between affected departments.
- Communicates status of work scheduled, volume of new work/request.
- Maintains Stormwater Operations MS4 records and documents.
- Inspects and review work performed by contractors.
- Prepares necessary summaries and or reports on work.
- Perform field inspections and investigations for Stormwater inquiries, complaints, or concerns.
- Usage of GIS software and other software programs for GIS/engineering technical work
- Provides research to the Public Works Department in locating plat maps, defining easements on properties, subdivision agreements, related code actions and agreements with outside agencies.
- Responds to requests and inquiries from the general public and other City Departments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education, training, and Experience Guidelines:High school diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience performing Stormwater maintenance or MS4 regulatory-related work. Experience with GIS mapping /analysis work, and civil engineering design software programs and applications is a plus.
Knowledge of:- Basic Stormwater engineering design principles and requirements.
- Surveying methods, abbreviations and symbols.
- Engineering software including surveying and computer-aided design and drafting programs.
- Basic knowledge of the MUTCD
- Storm Water Regulations and Procedures.
- Equipment, materials and methods used in construction.
- Principles and practices of record keeping.
- English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
- Modern office technology and equipment, including computers and related software.
- Applicable tools and equipment operations
- Applicable Federal, State and local codes, laws and regulations as it applies to water quality and stormwater
Skills:- Understanding and interpreting legal descriptions, records, maps, dedications and metes and bounds descriptions.
- Preparing illustrations, graphics, sketches, plans and maps as needed.
- Establishing and maintaining accurate records, logs and files.
- Understanding Federal, State and local policies, laws and regulations regarding water quality, stormwater, etc...
- Operate and use modern office equipment including computers and various software applications.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
- Understanding and following oral and written instructions.
- Following occupational safety and health procedures.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTSValid Texas driving license. Class C.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENTStanding, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, fine dexterity, crouching, bending, vision, hearing, talking, use of foot controls. Some exposure to weather extremes, noise and vibration from equipment, moving traffic near work sites.
Hiring Range: $25.84 - $32.37, hourly.
