SLAM has an opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join the firm's Orlando, FL office. For consideration candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience, be licensed (or in the process of obtaining licensure), and have experience in project design leadership, management, construction documentation, and construction administration. Specific experience in complex demolition and erosion control, site grading and drainage, construction documentation and drainage calculations for stormwater management, utility design and regulatory compliance is required.

Job Responsibilities include:

Collaborate with staff to advance project objectives
Develop and express strong planning and design concepts
Produce creative solutions that solve technical problems in harmony with project design objectives
Translate design concepts into AutoCad Civil3d CAD based technical drawings and specifications
Support marketing/sales efforts

Key Skills:

Strong written and verbal communications skills; able to interact directly with clients/owners, contractors and coordinate designs with architects and other engineers
Ability to evaluate campuses/sites analytically and graphically
Strong technical skills with site layout, grading/surface drainage, utility design, construction detailing
Multi-media 2D and 3D design and documentation skills including proficiency with AutoCad Civil3d, Auto Turn, and Microsoft programs
Highly motivated, good team player with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, collaborate with large multi-disciplinary teams, and work well under deadlines
Ability to work independently with proficient organizational and time management skills

Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering also required and participation in professional organizations preferred.
