O'Neal is seeking an experienced professional Structural Engineer to lead the design team in our Greenville, SC home office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, particularly in the design for industrial manufacturing facilities. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, technical expertise, and a passion for driving excellence in engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Talent Development:
- Lead and manage the structural engineering department, including recruitment, training, and performance management of team members.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, promoting continuous learning and development.
- Create and implement department goals, strategies, and initiatives aligned with the company's vision and objectives.
Project Execution:
- Develop man-hour estimates and technical proposals for potential projects.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring the highest standards of design quality.
- Manage project engineering budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored engineering solutions.
- Ensure effective coordination with other design disciplines.

Technical Expertise:

- Possess extensive design experience with steel structures, building foundations, equipment foundations, pipe racks, platforms, and in-plant engineering.
- Conduct studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations for industrial power systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Verify design quality of all structural deliverables and promote a standard of quality within the design group.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in SC is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on industrial manufacturing facilities.
Experience in a project leadership or management role within an engineering consulting firm.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
Proficiency in or exposure to design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD, Risa, and Navisworks.
Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
